Configuration and hardening of the AWS-native security stack you already pay for.
AWS security services work is the configuration, hardening, and ongoing tuning of AWS's own native security tooling, IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, KMS, and CloudTrail, so it actually catches what it's capable of catching, not just whatever was enabled the day the account was created.
AWS runs 34 Regions worldwide, each with at least 3 Availability Zones, and every one of them ships the same native security tooling switched off by default. Scale is exactly why a one-time setup isn't enough.

$4.18M
average cost of a public cloud breach (2025)
AWS ships an extensive native security toolset, threat detection, configuration monitoring, centralized findings, key management, audit logging, but almost none of it is switched on, tuned, or actually monitored by default. Most accounts run for years on whatever IAM policies and default settings were fastest to get infrastructure working, not what the platform is actually capable of enforcing.
This pairs directly with our Cloud Security service, Cloud Security covers architecture-level review across AWS, Azure, and GCP; this service is the deeper, AWS-specific configuration and hardening work once AWS is confirmed as the environment in scope.
Misconfiguration and exposed credentials are consistently the leading cause of cloud breaches, not exploited software vulnerabilities. AWS's own native tooling (GuardDuty, IAM Access Analyzer, Config) is built specifically to catch exactly this, and most of it is either unused or generating findings nobody is triaging.
IBM's 2025 Cost of a Data Breach Report puts the average public-cloud breach at $4.18M, with 28% of breaches now involving a public cloud environment, a properly tuned native security stack is inexpensive relative to that exposure, since the tooling is already part of what you're paying AWS for.
Public cloud is where breaches increasingly land, and cost the most to contain.
Built for
Not locked into one stack, we work with the platform that already fits your environment.
How we configure and manage each part of the stack
Least-privilege policy review and unused-access cleanup, identity is where most real-world AWS breaches actually start.
Threat detection tuned to your actual environment, with findings triaged instead of piling up unread in the console.
Centralized findings across GuardDuty, Access Analyzer, and Config, prioritized by real business risk, not raw severity.
Configuration drift and compliance rules that actually reflect your environment's real baseline, not AWS's generic defaults.
Key policy review and encryption-at-rest coverage across storage, databases, and secrets, checked, not assumed.
Logging coverage and retention configured so you can actually answer "who did what" during an investigation.

Process
Confirm accounts, organizations, and access needed for review.
Review current IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, KMS, and CloudTrail configuration.
Assess settings against AWS's own best practices and your actual threat model.
Deliver a prioritized report mapped to real risk, not raw finding counts.
Implement configuration changes directly, or hand off clear steps to your team.
Verify the tuned configuration actually holds under real usage.
No, we can review and harden an existing setup, or help you enable and configure these services correctly from the start if they're not running yet.
Cloud Security covers architecture-level review across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This service is the deeper, AWS-specific configuration and hardening work, IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, KMS, CloudTrail, once AWS is confirmed as the environment in scope. The two are frequently scoped together.
Yes, reviewing IAM, GuardDuty, and Security Hub configuration across a multi-account Organization, including how trust relationships and delegated administration are set up between accounts, is a common and often the most valuable version of this engagement.
No, we request scoped, time-boxed read access (or a specific IAM role) for the engagement itself, not standing access afterward. Access is revoked or rotated once testing and reporting are complete.
Yes, tuning which findings actually warrant attention, and suppressing or automating response to the ones that don't, is one of the most common reasons teams end up here. A detection service nobody trusts because it's noisy is barely better than no detection at all.
Our methodology for aws security is grounded in established, publicly available frameworks, not a proprietary checklist.
Share a few details about your environment and we'll help you scope the right engagement.
