In this Risky Business sponsored interview, James Wilson chats with Authentik Security CEO Fletcher Heisler about how AI is driving a need for privileged access management to adapt.
Summary
Fletcher explains Authentik’s approach: each agent has its own identity, begins with no permissions and is tied to a human. They also discuss transferring ownership when employees leave, mitigating risks of agents creating identities for each other, and whether task-based access could eventually be a better fit than clock-controlled access.
This is a brief wire summary, the full story (linked below) has the complete details.
KazaSec's take
AI-related security incidents are a genuinely new category, prompt injection, model manipulation, and data leakage through an LLM integration don't map cleanly onto traditional application security testing, and are worth assessing deliberately rather than assuming existing controls already cover them.
