For more than a decade, MEET ICT & BITEX have given Bahrain’s technology sector a place to meet, argue and do business.
Summary
The conference side pulls in technology leaders, industry experts and decision-makers to talk through what’s driving the digital economy. The exhibition side is where the selling happens, with companies showing their solutions to the organisations that might buy them. The event is back for its 14th edition on 27 and 28 October at the Gulf Convention Centre, Gulf Hotel Bahrain, in Manama.
Organised by BTECH with WorkSmart for Events Management, it will be held in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications. This year’s Gold Sponsor is Gulf Business Machines (GBM).
Who is GBM? GBM has spent more than 36 years building its business as an end-to-end digital solutions provider. Its work spans digital infrastructure, technology solutions, cybersecurity, cloud services and managed services, much of it delivered through partnerships with global technology companies.
Its clients are organisations with complex business needs, at various stages of their digital transformation. The sponsorship makes sense on paper.
KazaSec's take
Most public cloud incidents trace back to a misconfiguration, an overly permissive IAM role, a storage bucket left open, a default setting nobody revisited, rather than a flaw in the cloud provider itself. A cloud security review is built to catch exactly that class of mistake before it's found the hard way.
