The Bulgarian Identity Conference 2026, dedicated to digital identity management and access control, will take place at Interpred in Sofia at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Summary
This is the third edition of the event. In a world where cyberattack attempts are becoming increasingly frequent and sophisticated, identity is emerging as the primary control mechanism for accessing systems, applications, data and digital services, the organisers, IDVKM, said. This year's programme will focus on the constantly evolving regulatory framework, the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) and the emergence of AI agents, the integration of their digital identities, and the response of businesses undergoing large-scale digital transformation.
Key topics will include the management of non-human identities, the control and security of AI agents, modern Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, and the practical application of European regulations in cybersecurity and digital transformation. The conference is expected to be opened by the newly appointed National Cybersecurity Coordinator, who also serves as Director of the Cybersecurity and Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Transformation. International experts from Germany and other European countries, as well as representatives of the business community, public administration and academia, will take part in the event.
KazaSec's take
AI-related security incidents are a genuinely new category, prompt injection, model manipulation, and data leakage through an LLM integration don't map cleanly onto traditional application security testing, and are worth assessing deliberately rather than assuming existing controls already cover them.
