AI has brought us to a familiar inflection point in the story of privacy, cybersecurity, and online safety.
Summary
We have an opportunity to apply decades of cybersecurity experience before the next generation of technology creates consequences we cannot easily reverse. I learned the importance of that responsibility through a three-year-old child I’ll call Adia. Her name is a protective pseudonym.
Adia appeared in an image of child sexual exploitation uploaded to the internet.
KazaSec's take
AI-related security incidents are a genuinely new category, prompt injection, model manipulation, and data leakage through an LLM integration don't map cleanly onto traditional application security testing, and are worth assessing deliberately rather than assuming existing controls already cover them.
